About Trainer
• She is running a Mohiniyattam Dance School named “Dasyam” at Adyar, Chennai
• She was the first Mohiniyattam dancer to be awarded “Yuva Kala Bharathi” by Bharat Kalachar in the 2001.
• Kaladarpanam Award in the year 2003.
• The Outstanding performance Award by the House of Commons, London in the year 2003.
• The Tamil Nadu government (Iyal Isai Nataka Mandram) has Awarded the prestegious “KALAIMAMANI AWARD- 2004″, top most award of the State of Tamil Nadu from then Chief Misnister, Dr. J. Jayalalitha.
• Bharathanjali Trust conferred the title “Sathya Abhinaya Sundaram” in the year 2007.
• Vipanchee conferred the title “Natya Kala Vipanchee” in Dec 2007 which was presented by Dr. Balamuralikrishna.
• She received the Rajakeeya Puraskaram in 2007 presented by the H.E. Prof. Mohd. Hamid Ansari, the Vice President of India.
• She was chosen by Sruthi Arts as the World Malayali Excellence Award in 2008 received from Smt. Sheela Dixit, Chief Minister, Delhi.
• Abinaya Kala Ratna Excellence Award by World Peace and Friendship Council.
• Most recently this year she has been awarded by the Kerala Sangeetha Natak Academy Award for her contributions in popularizing Mohiniattam outside Kerala

“Art Form Learning is a Lifelong Process of Transformation & Evolution”

It was a dream, which took some years to realize. An ardent believer in hard work, creativity and ‘never say die’ passion, Mr.Thiyagarajakumar founded a prestigious Art {dance, theatre work, music, art and craft} Center and called it KalaAnantarupah Art Center literally means ‘Kala Anantarupah’ or ‘Art is an endless form ’. It was his dream from his school days, to set up his own institute and impart /share his knowledge and talent with other interested budding artists. It was his pure dedication towards his art and the lord of art, that he single evenhandedly managed the academy for so many years.

KalaAnantarupah Art Center was founded with the solemn objective of inculcating the spirit of rich culture and heritage of India into the young minds through art forms. In the ocean of talent, creativity and aesthetics, it is a small step taken by Mr Thiyagarajakumar towards the preservation of the values that personifies classical, semi classical, folk dance, contemporary, free style, theater work, dance therapy, music, art and craft forms. He started with a modest number of 5 students, building it up to 65 at present. With monetary gains not being the goal, the big idea remains to nurture and sculpt the serious students into understanding the deeper philosophy behind these dance forms.

KalaAnantarupah Art Center creates tailor made dance workshops and performances for schools, colleges, universities, Corporate, NGO, Adult learning Centers and other educational establishments.
